I met this dual military family and their three gorgeous children in front of the fleet science center fountain in balboa park. The kids had a blast running around the fountain (its known as the bea everson fountain) and the running water made a cool backdrop. Once the formal poses were out of the way, we took a walk in search of other spots in Balboa Park for the kids pictures. We stopped at the arches near the Casa Del prado for kids photos and group shots (this is one of my favorite locations for family photos in San Diego). The columns have really nice carvings and the arches are perfect for family pictures.
The next stop was the reflecting pool, outside the Botanical building, where the water lilies were glorious! We took some pictures of mom and the boys in front of the reflecting pool, as well as some group shots. The kids then found a grassy area on the side of the museum of man, where we did some posed shots and had some play time! My favorite part of family photos in balboa park is having the kids run around and just be themselves!
Our final stop for family photos was the large fig tree (accessed by a hidden bridge, near the house of Charm. The kids had fun exploring the windy stairs and paths, and we stopped on a bench for some of the most adorable kids pictures of the day.
Its an honor for me to be a photographer for military families. I am moved by the parents commitment to country and to family.
