One of my favorite things about being a photographer is meeting up with sweet families who have children that love to talk. I met this beautiful family at Torrey Pines State Reserve. We had a lovely evening watching the colors emerge and change as the sun set. As a photographer, Torrey Pines State Beach is one of my favorite La Jolla area beaches. While you might be patient enough to wait for a spot on the Coast Highway, I usually pay the parking fee and park inside the park.
Low tide is the best time for taking photos at Torrey Pines. The beach opens up and offers ample space for walking along the shore. High tide is just the opposite; the water swallows up the beach and you will wind up right on the rocks or the cliffs.
These two sweet ones talked my ear off in between chasing each other, spinning around with mom and dad, and jumping in the ocean.
Their jokes were so funny and by the end of our time together I was completely soaked.
